Jason was originally a professional dancer and artist before coming over to medicine. Initially trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery, he made the switch to General Practice and is thoroughly enjoying it. He has particular interests in sports medicine, hand injury, dermatology, skin cancer medicine and surgical procedures and is skilled at minimally scarring surgery. He is the Crighton Dance Medicine Fellow with the Australian Ballet and is involved in numerous research projects and has published and presented on the foot and ankle, dance medicine with the Australian College of Sports and Exercise Physicians, point of care ultrasound with the Royal Australian College of General Practice, hand surgery and is also a medical educator with Eastern Victoria GP training. In his spare time he rides mountain bikes, takes photos, makes pretentious short films and has an Etsy store selling high end custom dinosaur jewellery.
